In 2021, the Köstlan brewery from Brixen with all its know-how was taken over by four entrepreneurs from Eisacktal. A new brand – Viertel Bier – has been created. The brewery’s new location is the Putzer in Schabs, which, like the Alter Schlachthof in Brixen, belongs to this group.
Head brewer Leo brews with water from the nearby Vals Valley in the traditional craft manner.
Only raw materials from local and partly organic sources are used for the seven main beers. In addition to the main beers, the VIERTEL range is supplemented by seasonal beers.
